A limited edition collection of leather bags and accessories by Noted X Williams Handmade.
Handcrafts such as leather work provide livelihoods for artisans in rural areas across the country, which is why we have specifically collaborated with Williams Handmade to acknowledge and celebrate these traditional skills within our local area. With this collaboration, we aim to continue our on-going exploration for longevity, craftsmanship, and local talent in an age when many long-established handcraft skills are dwindling due to mechanisation.
The artisan, maker and award-winning designer Sarah Williams founded Williams Handmade in 2010. Her ethos behind Williams Handmade is to produce truly unique, sculptural, timeless pieces while raising the appreciation of hand craftsmanship. Williams' approach is considered, and the execution meticulous. The techniques Williams' uses are better for the environment in comparison to mainstream accessory brands as they save a lot of energy in comparison to machine production. We think it's important to note, whenever we buy handcrafted garments, it is helping individuals and communities to build up a sustainable livelihood based on their capacities by ensuring the valuable traditional skills do not disappear.
Our co-founders Laura and Paul have hand-picked every fabric, texture and style in collaboration with Williams Handmade to create this limited-edition collection of bags and purses which we know our customers will love for years to come. We worked with your feedback and ideas from last year's collection as a starting point to creating this collection. We understood you would need larger purses for larger tech products such as phones and tablets, you also mentioned you love classic tones which don’t date so we've created pieces in a timeless palette of tan-brown, forest green and midnight black. We've also opened up our price point to go from £25 to £135 so there is something for most peoples budget.
The collection marries a beautiful selection of the highest quality, full-grain, vegetable-tanned leathers, sourced from Northamptonshire, with tones inspired by the rich, autumnal hues that delicately grace nature at this time of year. We’ve added a sway of tactile suede to particular pieces, to add a little luxury to the everyday.
These pieces are designed to last for years and we believe, like a fine wine, that each will improve with age.
